From map-pack invisible to the first phone call for emergency plumbing
A 27-year-old plumbing company losing emergency calls to younger competitors and lead-gen aggregators. We rebuilt their local presence around their Google Business Profile and got them into the map pack for the searches that pay.

The situation
This company ranked well for their brand name and nowhere else. Aggregator sites like Angi and HomeAdvisor were buying up the traffic for “plumber near me” searches, and the owners were paying $60+ per shared lead for work in their own backyard. Their Google Business Profile had four photos, an outdated service list, and 41 reviews — most from years ago.
The outcome
By month seven they held the #1 map position for their four highest-value searches, calls from Google had nearly tripled, and they cancelled their aggregator accounts entirely. The owners’ words, not ours: the phone rings with better customers who found them, not bought them.
“We went from buying our own customers back from Angi to the phone ringing on its own. Best money we spend, and it’s not close.”

What we did
- 01
Rebuilt the Business Profile from scratch: correct primary category, all secondary services, every attribute, and a steady cadence of real photos from jobs.
- 02
Installed a review request system — a text message goes out two hours after every completed job, with the owner personally answering every review within 24 hours.
- 03
Cleaned up 30+ citation discrepancies that were confusing Google about their service area.
- 04
Built six service pages (emergency plumbing, water heaters, drain cleaning, and more) and location pages for the three townships they serve.
- 05
Reported the aggregator spam listings filling their map results; 11 of 14 were removed.
