04 — Technical SEO

Fix what’s quietly strangling your rankings

Audits and implementation for sites with real traffic that aren’t performing like it.

Audits from $2,500Implementation billed fixed-priceIdeal first step before any retainer

Sometimes a site doesn’t need more content or more links. It needs the thing underneath fixed: pages Google can’t crawl, duplicate content diluting everything, render-blocking scripts eating your Core Web Vitals, an old migration that dropped 400 redirects.

Technical SEO is diagnostic work. We find the specific things costing you traffic, rank them by impact, and either fix them (we have developers in-house) or hand your team a ticket list they can actually execute.

What’s included

No mystery boxes.

Exactly what you get, in the order you get it. Every item below has shown up on an invoice for a client, which is more than we can say for half the industry’s “proprietary process.”

The audit

A two-to-three week deep dive across every layer of the site.

  • Crawl & indexation analysis

Log files, crawl budget, canonical tags, sitemaps, noindex patterns — what Google sees vs. what you think it sees.

  • Core Web Vitals

Field data (not just lab scores), per template, with the specific scripts and assets to blame.

  • Structured data review

Missing or broken schema, rich-result opportunities you qualify for and aren’t using.

  • Content-level issues

Cannibalization, thin pages, orphan pages, redirect chains left over from old migrations.

The output

A document your developers will actually use.

  • Prioritized findings

Every issue rated by estimated traffic impact and effort. The 20% of fixes that drive 80% of the recovery are called out by name.

  • Implementation tickets

Written as dev-ready tickets with acceptance criteria, code examples, and priority order.

  • A walkthrough video

An hour of us explaining every finding, so your team understands the why, not just the what.

The fixes

Optional — our developers or yours. Same tickets either way.

  • Done in-house

We implement in order of impact and verify each fix in Search Console before moving on.

  • Done by your team

We review the pull requests and confirm the fix landed correctly. No extra charge for the review.

  • Post-fix monitoring

Ninety days of Search Console monitoring to confirm recovery, included with implementation.

How it runs

The first ninety days, mapped.

01

Access & crawl

Week 1. We pull logs, crawl everything, and reconcile it with Search Console.

02

Diagnosis

Weeks 2–3. Findings ranked by impact. A call to walk through them together.

03

Fix

Weeks 4–8. Implemented by us or your team, verified as each one lands.

04

Verify

Weeks 8–20. We monitor recovery in the data and adjust as Google reprocesses the site.

A good fit if…

  • Traffic has declined and you can’t figure out why
  • You’re about to replatform or redesign and can’t afford to lose rankings
  • You have developers, but no in-house SEO expertise
  • You suspect the site has technical debt but need proof and a priority order

Not a fit when…

  • You want someone to “do SEO” monthly with no diagnostics first — start with the SEO retainer instead
  • Your site gets fewer than a few hundred visits a month (the audit costs more than the problem)

Told you we’d talk you out of things. A studio that qualifies its own clients is a studio that keeps them.

What it costs

Audits are a flat $2,500 for most sites (larger sites with 50k+ URLs are quoted individually). Implementation is quoted per the audit’s fix list — you’ll know the number before committing to anything.

If you proceed to implementation, half the audit fee is credited toward the work.

Prices are starting points, published here so you can qualify us before we talk — we’ve never understood the “it depends” pricing page.

Common questions

About technical seo, answered.

How is this different from a normal SEO audit?

Depth and specificity. We read server logs, not just crawler output; we test on real devices; and every finding comes with an estimated impact so you can make sensible trade-offs. A generalist audit tells you what’s wrong. This tells you what’s wrong, what it’s costing, and what to do first.

We just migrated platforms and lost half our traffic. Can you help?

This is one of the most common — and most recoverable — situations we see. It’s usually unmapped URLs, dropped content, or redirect chains. Bring us in fast; the longer it festers, the longer the recovery.

Can you just give the report to our agency or dev team?

Absolutely — about a third of audits are white-label or hand-off jobs. The ticket format exists precisely so another team can execute it without us.
