Tripling organic revenue for a DTC brand without spending a dollar on ads
A home goods brand with loyal customers but almost no search visibility. Their collection pages targeted brand terms nobody searched, their blog chased trends, and a slow theme throttled everything. We restructured their catalog for search demand and built an editorial engine to match.

The situation
The brand’s 40 SKUs deserved better than page four. Paid ads carried the business at a 38% blended CAC, while organic — theoretically free revenue — brought in under 9% of sales. A site audit found the real problems: collection pages titled for internal jargon (“Artisan Foundry Collection”) instead of what people search (“handmade ceramic dinnerware”), a theme with a 4-second load time on mobile, and a blog writing about nothing in particular.
The outcome
Organic became their most profitable channel by month ten, and they reallocated a third of the ad budget into content production. More telling: organic revenue held through the Q4 gifting season without the ad spend spike their paid channel required.
What we did
- 01
Renamed and rewrote every collection page around search demand, preserving URL equity with a full redirect map.
- 02
Migrated the theme to a performance-first setup and cut mobile load time from 4.1s to 1.3s.
- 03
Built an editorial calendar aimed at the questions their buyers actually Google — “how to style open shelving,” “stoneware vs. porcelain” — each post internally linked to the collections it should sell.
- 04
Added product, review, and breadcrumb structured data across the catalog, unlocking rich results.
- 05
Earned features and product placements in nine home and lifestyle publications over the year.
